KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will visit different areas of Karachi’s NA-246 constituency on Thursday, with wife Reham Khan expected to accompany the cricketer-turned-politician later today.
According to PTI officials, arrangements were being made for the PTI chairman’s visit to campaign for party candidate Imran Ismail for the upcoming by-election scheduled for April 23.
Imran is expected to visit Waterpump area around 4:00pm, after which he will also go to Karimabad, and Husainabad areas.
Shops remained shut in Karimabad's mobile market, Meena Bazaar and Faisal Bazaar, with police saying that they had been closed down due to security concerns.
The PTI chairman will go to Azizabad’s Jinnah Ground later in the day where he will also offer fateha at the ‘martyr’s memorial’.
PTI workers have also arranged a lunch at the residence of Nadia Rabbani.
According to latest reports, Imran’s wife Reham has departed from Islamabad to accompany her husband in Karachi.
